Dr. Wall has had a long history of academic and public service.  Before he retired in 2011, he served Dean of the College of Business and a Professor of Management at Northwestern State University of Louisiana.  Prior this position, he served as Director of the Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) and Professor of Management at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. In his job as Director, he collected, processed, analyzed, and disseminated information on the Monroe metropolitan area, the region and the state and was regularly called upon by statewide media for commentary on economic and business events.  He served as President of the national Association for University Business & Economic Research (AUBER) and earlier was its Business Manager.

He is the author or co-author of over 100 articles, papers, and books. Dr. Wall was extremely active in internationalization efforts, has taught both graduate and undergraduate international business and strategic management courses both in the United States and overseas, and has participated in faculty and leadership development programs in Central, Eastern and Western Europe, China, and South America.

During 2015-16, he served as Governor of District 6190 of Rotary International, an area which encompasses all of Louisiana north of I-10. He remains active in Rotary, serves as Secretary of the 3,500-member International Rotary Wine Appreciation Fellowship, and currently serves as the District 6190 Rotary Foundation Chair. He is an RLI and Visioning Facilitator. Earlier he was President of the 225 member Monroe Rotary Club. He has been active in Rotary for over 35 years and received Rotary’s Citation for Meritorious Service in 2019.

Dr. Wall is a retired Army Colonel and spent thirty-one years assigned to the intelligence field. However, he finished his military career with a five-year tour as Comptroller for the 412th Engineer Command--a job that involved monitoring financial operations occurring on four continents. After retirement, he served on the national board of directors of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), a 370,000-member organization.  His decorations include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (2), Army Commendation Medal (2), Army Achievement Medal and the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.  He currently is a member of the Civil Air Patrol and serves as squadron commander and Wing Aerospace Education Officer. Dr. Wall holds multiple advanced certifications as a scuba diving instructor, has written two coral ecology distinctive specialties, and regularly leads students to dive and maintain coral gardens at various locations in the Caribbean.
